Every now and then, there comes a phone which strives to shake things up. The original iPhone did it and some of the early nokia phones did it. It is believed that this smartphone is set to repeat the history. With its amazing specifications at such a lower rate of 13,999 it surely stands a chance for that. Its specs sounds great on paper but we should wait to see if it really meet the requirements of a long waited 'perfect budget phone' for the indians .
Overwhelming demand for Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Mi3 on the first day of its sale caused the product page of e-commerce site Flipkart, its exclusive retailer in India, to crash. Despite the glitches, Xiaomi, which entered India on July 15, said it sold the entire Mi 3 stock in 38 minutes and 50 seconds. The crash, a little after noon on Tuesday, a few minutes after booking opened, prevented several customers from completing their orders. The same thing had happened during the exclusive launch of MotoG and MotoE phones earlier.According to Flipkart, the site received 100,000 registrations for the phone during the July 15-21 registration period.
Features:
- 5-inch IPS LCD display, 1920 x 1080 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
- 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU
- 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage
- Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 5.0
- 13MP rear-facing primary camera (Sony Exmor BSI sensor), dual LED flash, 1080p video recording
- 2MP front-facing secondary camera, 1080p video recording
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC
On the whole it seems as a good value for money. But it remains to be seen whether it will cope with strong competition from the moto family and low budget micromax phones.
