Sony xperia Z getting updates to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean


According to some reports from some european countries ,sony,s high rated smartphone Sony Xperia Z is now receiving Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.The updates can be downloaded through the Sony PC companion desktop software and over air via Sony's update app.This update brings some feature of Android 4.2.2 like lock screen notifications with some minor UI changes.
The update maynot be available to all users because it may take some time to reach all regions and to all models.The new firmware  comes with a kernel version of 3.4.0 and brings some minor bug fixes and  performance optimizations.The update was expectd to come sooner than later since sony made the same update available for the Xperia ZL last week. This will come as as a tough situation for HTC as none of its devices have received a Android 4.2.2  update.

Android 4.4 KitKat

After Apple announced iPhone 5S launch date, the Google announced something bigger by confirming Android 4.4 KitKat for arrival in the nearby future.This update will replace the current version of Android which is  4.3 Jelly Bean.However, in the buildup to its release, it’s time for making some bold predictions about Google’s new Android 4.4 KitKat update.In the late July, after skipping an announcement at Google I/O, the Google announced Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, its latest version of Jelly Bean that rolled out in market with Nexus devices and also with HTC One, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. Rumors for the months suggested that the next version of Android, would be Google’s ‘K’ update, also known as Key Lime Pie or Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It’s a name that had been around for awhile and that’s why Google made it so surprising by announcing something completely different just a few short days ago.
